SCD VIRTUAL PEER SUPPORT MEETINGS

Virtual Community Sessions for Adults Sickle Cell Patients

These virtual meetings are designed for adults with sickle cell disease. We understand the importance of peer and social support for maintaining hope and resilience, so we've created a safe space where patients can connect and share their experiences.

Hosted through our program, SCD Patient Empowerment Programs, each session focuses on a specific topic related to sickle cell disease life journey. These meetings provide a virtual platform for us to come together, share and support each other.

These community sessions offer a safe environment for discussing personal experiences and receiving support from others who understand what you're going through. Joining these conversations will leave you feeling empowered and reassured, knowing you're not alone in your journey with sickle cell disease.

We host two bi-monthly meetings on the first and third Thursday of every month from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. EAT.

Community Notice

These meetings are here to provide a safe space for adults with sickle cell disease to connect and support each other. While they're not therapy sessions, they offer a supportive environment where you can share and connect. If you have questions about mental health, we encourage you to reach out to a certified mental health expert who can provide guidance tailored to your needs. Also, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Just Peoples for sponsoring our meetings in 2024.

Your support means the world to us.
